"When you feel good, good things happen"
—Terri Lynn
Everything in the physical world is vibrational energy. Therefore, the thoughts you think and the words you use create vibrations which go out into the universal energy field. We can present ourselves in a positive, negative, or neutral light and when you can present in a positive light every outcome in life is better. (from the book “The Happiness Advantage” by Shawn Achor)
Think about that because that is huge. All outcomes in life get a better result by being in a positive state. Is that enough for you to put the work in to be positive? It sure is for me, but it does take work. We were raised and live in a predominantly negative world, so we need to take charge of our own thoughts and focus on the positives in life. Trust me, the positive is here, you just need to look for it.
Just by tweaking some of our everyday responses can help uplift your vibration. For example, we all get the question, “How are you?” usually several times a day. What is your natural response to that question? If you respond with an “OK” or “Good” that is neutral. If you respond with, “Not too bad.” (which I hear from people too often), that is negative. If you can tweak this one response to be positive, over time this alone will raise your vibration.
Try saying, “Awesome!” “Great!” “Better than ever!” “Fantastic.” Or some other positive response and make that a habit. Just say a few of these out loud. Good vs Great. You can hear the vibrational energy difference immediately.
Next, pay attention to how you phrase things. For instance: You hit a lot of traffic on your commute, and you express this as “Traffic was awful today!” or something along those lines. Instead, you can tweak that to be more positive by saying. “I am so grateful to be out of that traffic.” You are basically saying the same thing but say it out loud and hear the difference in the vibration. It really makes a difference.
Years ago, when I was a sales manager in a busy dealership, I worked very long hours and wore high-heeled shoes. I would change them a few times a day as different shoes hurt in different places but when I got home, I would take my shoes off and proclaim, “Oh, my aching feet!” Then one day I realized that my statement was not positive at all, it was the truth but not positive. So, I changed my verbiage to, “Oh, it feels so good to take these shoes off!” I changed the vibration of what I was saying.
So, I urge you to pay attention to the words you use and how you phrase things. It really does make a difference.
